Do not use Discovery Life.

I would not recommend Discovery life to anyone that wants to bury their loved ones on time and with dignity. Discovery life has a 6 months waiting period but my mom passed away on month 13 of the policy and “it is seen as an early claim”. They take 3-5 business days to respond, their response is them requesting information that was never stated as part of the claim documents. At some point the consultant said to me “it’s rare that someone passes within the first 12 months of the policy” so in a nutshell they say I killed my mom. They now busy with investigations which might include toxicology test, I’m all for it however I feel violated, mistreated and disrespected. They not empathetic at all to be working in that department! If you want peace, please do not choose discovery life! They spoke to me about certain clause which were never disclosed when the policy was opened… What a way to grieve!
