Disgusted with your Brokers

I was divorced in 2010 December, and had requested the "broker" to cancel all policies, he advised that my ex husband was paying the life policy and as far as I know if it's on my personal name I have the right to cancel the policy..? MY EX HUSBAND Also being a good friend of the broker.... we have now been divorced for just over 10 years now, and this morning I get an email that if I pay the outstanding balance of 3 months I will not loose the policy! How is this even allowed, the agent has had my email all these years as they found it good to contact me today? So there is no excuse of they could not get hold of me at all. I am very angry that these people will go to the extent of ignoring my email from 10 years ago to cancel! I also requested the broker to pull the list of policies on my name, and the Discovery was no where seen at all? This is totally unacceptable, that this man can still benefit if I die?
