Discovery so desperate for money that they act *********

In January I have contacted my "adviser" regarding my life policy. She did not answer her phone and I left a message for her to phone me back. A few days later I contacted the call centre, and asked them to cancel my policy or at least cancel Vitality as I struggle to keep up with payments as I am now unemployed. I also made arrangements to pay AT THE END OF FEBRUARY. Sanike was very helpful and forwarded an email to "my adviser" LM Sekhonyane to contact me regarding my requests. I was also supposed to receive a quotation with the reduced amount, sign it and return it by email. Instead, I received an internal letter from the department head to my "adviser" LM Sekhonyane that her commission would be affected and that she needed to advise me that my benefits would be reduced, insinuating that I, the client should not change my life policy. On 1 February Discovery Life debited my bank account AGAIN. The debit order was rejected due to insufficient funds, costing me another R110 in banking penalties. Today I phoned her again on her direct number ***. Again there was no answer, however I did leave a message that I am canceling my life policy. It is clear to me that both Discovery and their advisors are so desperate for money that they refuse to take phone calls, reply to emails or make adjustments to products or cancel products and thereby try to force clients to keep paying. This attitude and behaviour stinks Discovery, get your act together!
