Discovery Life Unacceptable service

Good day, I am extremely disappointed with the unacceptable service I'm receiving from Discovery Life through their financial advisor. Upon calling Discovery Life I could not rectify this problem and only a complaint was lodged. Ref No: *** of call I logged today. This has adversely impacted both policies for my husband and myself.

Late last year we requested changes to be made to both our existing life covers- Classic Plans. Instead the financial advisor opened new policies ( Essential Plans) and the outcome was that we ended up having 2 policies respectively from May until April, the old policy and a new policy. Since February 2022, I instructed my advisor to fix this mess and only update the old policy. Recently in April 2022, he managed to cancel the new policy and updated the old policy but now I'm left with even bigger problems. My husband's policy premium is debited monthly off my account. This morning, to my surprise, instead of a Discovery debit order of R 3200+ and amount of R 6000+ was debited off my account. As well, Today, Discovery Life also confirmed that my old policy is in arrears. It seems the broker never reconciled the old policy when he canceled the new one. I've been diligently paying off installments on a monthly basis and horrified to be in such a compromising situation.

I need assistance to please sort out this mess.

My questions to Discovery Life arw--- what will happen in an event that a claim is lodged against these policies? Is my family covered or compromised? Does Discovery Life do quality checks on the work of Financial advisors?

These are critical policies for my family and it is close to 4 months, the problems are persisting and remain unresolved.
