Discovery Life refuse to pay out !!!

Re- COMPLAINT ABOUT DISCOVERY LIFE INSURANCE

To Whom It May Concern My wife was diagnosed with Breast Cancer stage IIIA triple negative T4B N1M0 on 22 Dec 2014. She had two policy covers with Discovery Life Insurance Company 1) Severe illness + death Benefit 2) Death Cover only My wife firstly claimed the severe illness while she was alive but they decided to decline the claim of the severe illness benefit on the 30 June 2015,Their reason is that- She did not disclosed the a lump on her breast and needle stick injury, with my knowledge as she was nurse, she was injecting an patient due of needle pain patient move his hand and needle fell on her foot and she under go all medical test from that accident to check if there is any-existing defect or disease ( HIV Test etc ) and result was negative which means that there were no illness from patient to her. Discovery as early as June well knew that my wife breast cancer and therefor terminated the severe illness benefit of the policy but however continued with a life cover aspect of the polices and collected her premiums for such a cover Eight days later after their declaration of the severe illness they re-issued the new policy cover document dated 8th July 2015 with the death cover benefit only, also reduced monthly premiums. On the 26 September 2016, my wife passed on which is 15 months after their declining the severe illness claim, there after I lodged a claim of death benefit. Discovery declined to pay out the death claim In declining the life cover claims Discovery advanced the same reason of non disclosure without bringing any new facts in justification for collecting the additional premiums and declining the claim I’m failing to understand why the life death cover will not be paid out due to the following reasons.
