Discovery life Negligence Mokhatshane

My mother passed on when I was only 7 years of age, in a car accident and had life cover with discovery better yet she was an employee for discovery , after her passing my aunt took me to discovery to make a claim as she was not financially stable enough to take care of me , when we got there we were told that life cover payouts only happen when the dependents are 18 years of age which was understandable, I reached 18 and I went to discovery again because I had no other parent taking care of me , I spoke to a lady named Laila at discovery who then asked me why we took so long to claim , I explained to her what we were told when we first went to discovery and she said that there is nothing on her system that she will escalate the matter and call me back with feedback, I waited for a couple of days for her call which which kind you never happened. I called again and she started ignoring my calls , I then went back and stopped calling and got in touch with someone else from discovery the gentleman advised that momentum was in charge of payouts then but will help me get as much information as possible , they literally spent 2 years investigating and never got anything. I later got legal help on the matter and then they told after they had waisted my time with investigations that led nowhere that the matter has expired… I got a form from discovery of my mothers payout they first claimed that there was no life cover , once it was found that that was not true , they said the life cover had no beneficiaries, after I found that that was not true , they said that the distribution of the beneficiaries did not amount to 100% so they took my mothers hard worker money with no form of proper documentation and paid it to my mothers abuser who was not registered on any of her policies , the high court was not aware of this till I gave them those documents, the high court called discovery out on NEGLIGENCE and with information that we all see they said that they paid out on the bases that he was her husband, so they were asked then why did they not ask for proper documents and they still did not respond , mind you they paid a house that was not even registered under my mother with my mothers life policy. So we are now at the Ombudsman and they now want the matter to be let go even with that information. So be careful when you choose your life policy, discovery will see a mistake and not correct the mistake when you hand in the documents they will wait till you die and let your dependents suffer, to get information from them, they will payout whoever has bribe money because they don’t even check the documents or how much is written on the letter of authority, your money will just disappear and they will not take accountability for their mistake. I’m 26 now and still hoping discovery will do right by me
