Discovery Life insurance is pathetic

I claimed with Discovery insurance in september. My policy is very stright forward. You get covered for every month you have cancer. I had cancer in March, April May and june. March I did surgery, april may and june I did chemo.

So they were supposed to pay me out 4 months, and the calls are recorded and they have confirmed this over 5 times that they will pay me out for 4 months.

There was a issue with the 4th payment , it bounced according to Melody, and they were going to reporcess the 4th payment. Now all of a sudden they decided they dont want to pay me a 4th instalment, even after Sue Chetty emailed me yesterday saing that the payment is done and that it will reflect in my account shorty.

on top of this I was off for an extra 2 months due to the really intense Chemo I had to undergo and could not work but Discovery decided to not consider this.

This all after they had thenical issues promising me payouts for weeks and promising to keep contact with me, but not dooing so.

Its a shame, they pulled through in the end but its really bitter sweet, because they all tell you one thing one second, and thn the following second they change their mind.

they didn't even do the payout on my medical savings that is part of the cover, so I am very disappointing.

I am over my cancer now, I cannot even begin to understand how someone with cancer can can get the energy during chemo deal with this company to get payouts going....

Shame on you discovery for being choppy and not delivering on your promises to me.
