Discovery Life - In bead with the Ombudsman

Where to begin...

I will try keep this short... I have never come across such blatant abuse of market position..

We followed every process, and steps and spend over R60K in various tests and time off work to prove to Discovery, that I have suffered and have an impairment. Even my Neurosurgeon gave recommendations. But because my condition did not fall under the standard list of conditions, they refused to honour a claim. Hiding behind their market dominance , they manage to take the higher ground.

Thus if you believe you that even if you follow all the process and claim mangers disregarding process, and then laying a complaint with the Ombudsman.... WAIT.....

Please be prepared for even more double standards and don’t hold your breath for any investigations. If you don’t point out the errors in Discovery responses then they will not ask important questions. Needless to say, even following the process one would think they would have your back.

Here is the kicker..... So the company I am laying a complaint against not only provides funding to the Ombudsman, BUT the LEGAL HEAD of Discovery sits on the Council.... Now the Ombudsman says they independent and say the council has impact on the decisions or day to day running. Yet the council members appoints the Chairman and Deputy.. More so, every single correspondence between me, ombudsman and Discovery guess who it was sent to.....Bingo, the Legal Head of Discovery who sits on the Council of the Ombudsman.
