Discovery LIfe does not pay out Disbility Claims

Back in 2010 I had to leave work and go for surgery as I suffered from nerve, muscle and joint pain. The pain was debilitating and had reached an extent where it was causing severe headaches and had affected my retinal nerves. I phoned Discovery Claims line only to be told I couldn't claim for that under the policy I had taken out in 2007. <br> <br> Yet the policy covered me for dread disease disability and death. It took me a long time to recover and it was only in late 2012 that I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia. This is primarily due to the poor training of medical professionals in South Africa. Nevertheless without any income I formally claimed from Discovery Life in writing now armed with the diagnosis form a rheumatologist. However Discovery repudiated the claim on the basis that I was recovering without looking at my financial situation.<br> <br> I then took the case to the ombudsman who delayed the case for over a year and now finally end of 2015 has requested Discovery to arrange a meeting with their claims manager and a Professor of medicine. Again Discovery is delaying and has not set up the requested appointment despite 2 weeks having elapsed.<br> <br> What pathetic service
