Discovery Life - Bad service

<p>I have an income protector that doesn't appear to be worth the paper it is written on.</p> <p> </p> <p>They have processed documentation that I didn't sign or agree to, they have processed me into a certain category that I didn't agree to either so that they can take my money on a monthly basis without having to honour the agreement.</p> <p>The financial Advisor is also at fault here due to the fact that he completed documentation without my expressed agreement, no where did I agree to be put into the category I have been put into which according to Discovery gives them the right to give me a 30 days waiting period to be paid out.</p> <p> </p> <p>I have taken this to the Ombudsman and the Financial Service Board.</p> <p> </p> <p>My advice to anyone out there is to ask as many questions as possible about your policy. It would appear that Discovery Life would like you to take out income protectors with them and then they will decide if you get paid out or not.</p> <p> </p> <p>Please, please PLEASE read the fine print and request all documentation to see their fine print so that you are not caught in a situation as I am now where I have to seek help from Authorities to get Discovery to honour their policies.</p>
