Discovery: False advertising to draw clients.
I recently had one of Discovery's "top" financial advisers to quote me on life and short term insurance. As the initial benefits and premiums looked very attractive, it all changed when I had to sign the final documents. Premiums was adjusted and benefits was removed. When I questioned this, all sorts of excuses was made but the fact is the adviser had all the info before the first quote. What upsets me the most is the fact that Discovery refuse to give me an income protector because more than 80% of my work is manual labour. That means that Discovery is discriminating against me because of my occupation. I feel I was being ******* into believing that Discovery would give me all these wonderful benefits and was taken away at the last minute hoping I would still be happy with an empty shell. I really thought Discovery was my answer in having everything together, but clearly I was misled. I am disappointed and feel discriminated at. This sure has changed my view of Discovery.
