Claim not resolved after 10 months

I was contacted by Discovery Life to invest in a new policy, but how can they expect me to take out a policy if my father is struggling to resolve his claim after 10 months? He is a client of Discovery Life from 2006 and was diagnosed with Bronchiectasis. He is on oxygen 24/7 at home from November 2014. You take out a policy to be self assured that one day when you need it, you will be covered by a world wide known company like Discovery.
