Choose Discovery Life at your own peril, just theft and lies is all they have to offer

I recently moved abroad to pursue my studies. Before leaving home, I made the necessary changes to my policy to remove the Vitality product as well as notify them of my location and change in job. Discovery decided to re-add Vitality to my policy and on enquiry they could not give me a definitive answer as to why they made unilateral changes to my policy which have resulted in them helping themselves to what ever is in my bank account. I have also requested to understand if my life policy still stands now that I am abroad becuase I am in school with another South African who was told that Discovery will not cover her now that she is in the US...so what is the real story, are they just taking my money for fun and will not be able to honour the obligation should something happen while I am here?! They asked me to reinform them of my being abroad which is ridiculous as all of this was done in July 2023 while I was still in the country. They still will not answer me about whether my cover still stands at the moment, eventhough I have asked this question in writing. I am frustrated and absolutely shocked at the poor levels of service and how they are evading my questions in order to keep *****ing money from my bank account. They said they have refunded me and corrected the vitality issue but still deduct vitality from my bank account.

Moral of the story... stay away from Discovery Life at all costs, your loved ones will be left in the dark should anything happen to you and Discovery will ***** from you knowing that they have no intention to offer you cover. I am sure this is against the FSCA regulations and am dissapointed that I have to go to them for help considering how far away from home I am at the moment.
