A cry of help - Life Insurance premiums during covid-19 pandemic

In need of someone to hear us.

My Dad has been paying on his life insurance for many years now. Some people live life on the edge no insurance no cover no safety net. My parents have worked hard all their lives and struggled to keep up with insurance fees every month, they cut out other luxuries in order to be able to pay life insurance. Now with the Covid-19 pandemic having gone on for almost a year now, my Dad has been struggling even more these last few months to pay his insurance, he has used the holiday payment break, been given the option to downscale and now has finally run out of resources and sadly today i was instructed to cancel his policies, how sad is this, hard working people have been paying their way for years in hopes that one day their family will be secure and safe, now to loose out all the money he has paid for all these years, is there no mercy out there, can nothing else be done to help him safe his policy?
