Worst insurer i ever had in my life DISCOVERY INSURE

I have been with discovery insure for 8yrs when you have small claims the are very efficient but as soon as there a big claim they refuse to pay.

My claim i had a issue with was my electrical cable was damaged due to heavy weather when the assessor came he sent report saying there a few cuts on cable so the cable needs to be replaced he said it was due to previous contractors ( fiber installers) damaging the cable. Discovery then denied the claim for this reason. I then called the fiber installers they came to my property with photo evidence that my cable was not touched and even dug up the trench again to show me visually that there was no cable in site and informed me that my cable runs under my tarred driveway so there no way a contractor could have damaged it i sent this new information to discovery they then changed the reason for claim being rejected saying they do not repair wear and tear and i must dispute claim if i am not happy, i did my dispute and then call discovery 2 weeks later they then say they have 90days to respond to all disputes i must wait. I had to do repair myself which costed R14.5 thousand rand. What was i paying those high premiums for???? I then cancelled my policy with them my last day was 30 April 2022

My next problem with the worst insurer i ever had (discovery insure)Before my policy can expire we had heavy floods in KZN i logged a claim with discovery insure they sent a assessor on 30 April 2022 to come see damage and every week i call discovery they say they waiting for the report… 3 weeks after the assessor came to my property and still no report. I told discovery if i was still a client im sure the report would in by now but i was still covered they need to attend this matter.

Service by claims consultants is pathetic i will never recommend discovery to anyone
