Worst insurer

<p>SO i received a call from Discovery Telling me how great their insurance is , so i figured wht not. i have been with them for just over a year and the experience has been worse than a Government run organisation ( or is it run by the Gupta's some how??) in my year of insurance with them a Taxi managed to clip my bumper so i went through the usual claim process, and my God was that a mission they basically ran a 100 Point check on my car before submitting a claim for a scratched bumper to insure my car was road worthy. the entire incedent was caught on my Dash Cam and all the evidence there. i paid my excess and got my car fixed, when i asked them about claiming my excess back from the guilty party i was told no they would not do it because it would cost them too much and i would need to go the the small claims court? surely my monthly premium covers me legally in some sort for Discovery to go get back my excess??? I said i have the camera footage and not once did they make a plan to get it from me, they just brushed me off. then luck would have it i was hit 2 months lated by a drunk driver ( once again all on camera and the exact same story happened. i paid the excess and they didnt bother investigating or to even try find the guilty party , so once again of course they would not claim back my excess . about a week ago i then received an email from Tumi Mashinini at Discovery insure telling me - Thank you for choosing Discovery insure and here is your new contract Due to no response we have amended your claim free insurance from 5 years to 1-2 years and hit me with a 340 rand increase without even consulting me , i then rep**** and asked what it was all abount and Tumi requested i send my claim history for the past 5 years with my previous insurance . which i did . with only a claim for a stone chipped window since 2013 . i then waited a week and mailed Tumi and asked if all was in order, received no response. this morning i had my debit order come off and what do you know , they still hit me with a fat increase( so they wont claim money from guilty parties, but will claim it from me, because thats easier) i will as of today be going back to Aon, they are probably the best Insurance brokers i have ever delt with. and i will with every effort push everyone far away from Discovery insure </p> <p> </p> <p>i log into my discovery account and it says what my monthly premium is there R1290.00 but they still debit me R1580.00 </p> <p> </p> <p>What a joke </p>
