Worst insurance company by far

I have been insured with discovery now for almost a year. To day I have had no claims.

I took my car in for its first service st the dealership, while it was there, they called me to alert me of a chip on my windscreen and offered to inject it to prevent it cracking. I told them not to, I would report it to my insurance. Which I did, they appointed a contractor to come to house who said they can't see a chip. Which was very visible even to me. They did not do anything and left.

Now this windscreen has cracked!!!

Had this windscreen been injected, this crack could have been avoided.

I called discovery yesterday to alert them of this and to complain. I was merely told to pay the excess fee and register another claim if I wanted to be helped.

Thank you for taking my call.

As discussed we will lodge a claim for the windscreen, to allow the service provider to assess the damage on the windscreen and the relation to initial chip.

We apologise for the inconvenience.

When you do transfer me. It would be advisable to do a warm transfer, after all you do have all my details. Furthermore if you could maybe put me through to someone who actually sounds like they would like to help me... not the person who you put me through to. I'm sure requesting to be assisted by Someone who sounds helpful, positive, and not someone who sounds like he couldn't be bothered at all.....I'm sure that's not too much to ask. Customer service is all I'm asking for... Please also note.... I called yesterday to register this claim... Today at 14:30 I still have a car with a cracked windscreen... not assessed... So between my call yesterday up till today when I registered this complaint, Discovery saw it fit for me to stay with a cracked windscreen.
