When Shelton rocks, he uses real rocks.

We recently moved all our short-term stuff to Discovery, when a well-spoken young man phoned me at exactly the right time, and saved me about R1000 a month, compared to my previous insurer, who name won't be mentioned, on advise of counsel.

I am, obviously, mostly, kidding.

Today, had the chance of using Discovery Insure because my car battery ran fla, and I needed a jump-start at my house.

No sweat, Discovery said,and unleashed Shelton Nyanda on the problem.

I'd phoned the night before, to check if I needed to "book" such a jump start, and was told that no, I could just phone in the morning, about an hour before I wanted to leave.

You know how the "5-second-rule" doesn't count when you have "3-second-dogs"? Well, a "one-hour-lead" doesn't work when you have a "15-minute-response".

And I was still in the battery shop when Shelton called back, just to check that my jump start arrived, and that all was indeed hunky and dory.

It was, but I appreciated the call.

I sincerely hope I do not ever need the services of Discovery Insure ever again, for obvious reasons, but at least now I have an idea that it won't nearly be the nightmare I may have imagined it might be.
