When difficult becomes farcical!

Paint spills on my stored goods and I submit a claim, simple. The assessor takes away damaged goods and I think it won't be long before all's settled. Then I'm asked to go and receive quotations for items the assesssor has in his possession, hmm... whose work am I doing and not being paid for!? Anyway, I comply and get a quote for a varsity text book, a carpet and backpack. Finally, I request that the monies be paid into my mom's bank account and furnish them with the details, even though this is the SAME banking account from which my monthly premiums are being deducted and which benefits are being paid into! So no monies paid until I've tasked my pensioner mum to go and obtain a stamped bank statement for an account already being debited and credited by the very same institution!? Nonsense! I shall not be a Discovery client for much longer!

Thank you for raising your concerns with us.
We have looked into the pending settlement of your claim, as discussed and confirmed by the claims team we have come to find that in order for the claim to be settled we need a stamp bank statement for auditing purposes, unfortunately we are unable to finalise the claim until this has been received.
