Vitality Drive is RIGGED
I joined Discovery insure towards the beginning of the year.
I installed their compulsory tracker. I drive quite well.
I initially had a cash back percentage of 12,5 % this dropped to 5% and I have no idea why, it has since increased again to 12.5%.
I asked for the reason that it dropped to 5% and instead was given the reason that it increased to 12,5% again.
This did not answer my question.
Additionally, I get a drive dashboard every month and I am sure that this thing is RIGGED since I changed jobs from working night shift to working a normal day, yet my night driving score has not improved? STRANGE isn't it?
Every time I query this type of thing I am given a vague non-answer.
I am just warning you all so that you do not have the same experience.
I was under the impression I could choose whether I wanted to insure my car for market or retail value but they seem unable to provide me with this option either.
When the Discovery staff do try to answer the questions they are unable to formulate full sentences. I can provide examples of this as well.

Vitality Drive rewards programme is data based. Your percentage calculation is collected over a period of 3 to 4 months from inception. This being the calibration period. Depending on how often you drive and for how long, we look at your ABC's of driving. Acceleration, Braking, Cornering and Night driving.
The reason your driving score percentage dropped is because your 'calibration period' had come to an end thus allowing for the transition of the data pattern to changed.
Currently your multipoint check has been received, this has assisted in boosting your percentage.
We encourage you to continue taking part in the activities outlined in the benefit programme in order for your rewards to maximize.
We note your second part of your query , the value of the vehicle. Discovery Insure will default on the retail value of your vehicle unless you opt to nominate a value ( which has to be referred to risk management )
