Viltality Drive is Deceiving

On the Discovery/Vitality Drive website it clearly states that the cashback rewards are calculated from your rewards percentage which is caclutaed from your monthly fuel spend. This is what they use to get people to pay the R45 a month for Vitality drive and to sell their insurance. End of the month comes, the cashback is calculated on the number of points received for driving well, instead of the total fuel spend. According to them they take the lower amount of the two. The average fuel spend is about R2000, where the limit to earn driving points is R1600 per month. How sneaky is this? As it is impossible to achieve the full 1600 driving points, the average driving points one achieves per month is far less than the 1600 (depending on the driver). I can't event reach 500 points, and I am not a risky and reckless driver. So, it is very rare that the fuel spend is going to be lower than the driving points. Even if a person achieves 450 points, the cash back is R45 (if you are on a 10% reward level).... which equals the monthly Vitality drive fee. Regardless of what the reward level is, the highest amount to earn points from will never be higher than 1600. So sneaky, as this is not what is being advertised on their website.

So, think twice before joining Vitality Drive, don't be fooled by the deceiving content you read on the Vitality Drive website., because according to their call centre; "terms and conditions apply".
