Very poor service from their motor claims department
Very poor service from their motor claims department! I have a motor claim that was approved on 17 April 2023. After waiting for a month for the approved panel beater NMS Polokwane to book my car in without any success I called discovery to ask that I be allowed to replace my tires, which were part of the claim, at tigerwheel if the panel beater was not able to replace them while they wait for other parts. This is because I had been driving with a spare wheel and a damaged tire for more than a month and I was worried that my tires would burst. NMS promised to order my tires and replace them before the end of that week however they did not do that. I made numerous calls to NMS and discovery without any success. On 21 May my car tire burst while I had my children in the car, but luckily I did not loose control of the car. Discovery towed my car to auction nation in centurion and they promised to get NMS to tow the car to their wirkshop. Since then I have called multiple times to ask about my car and the progress on the towing. All the time I hear a different story...at first it was the dealership is still waiting for parts, then it was they have towed the car and invoiced discovery, then it was the dealership says the car is still drivable and is still with me...The consultant assigned to my claim has not contacted me once to respond to my emails of concern regarding my claim, instead he/she sends me automated messages. I have asked that the panel beater sends me the evidence that they have indeed ordered the parts and that they are still waiting for almost 2 months for tires that took tigerwheel 3 days to get early this year, however there is no documentation provided. Now discovery is telling me that my courtesy car hire expires on 21 June and that I must find my own solution. They don't bother to ensure that the panel beater does it's job and yet I must suffer.
