I have been a client of Discovery Insure for some three years. I changed to a different insurer who gave me lower premiums. I was connected to Shafick Allow, a retention's clerk, as per the norm when cancelling. It was pleasing to realize that he still wanted my business- only giving up to give counter offers when it was apparent I could not meet the T&C's of a better offer he put on the table. Though he lost my business, he gave gave frank council (pitfalls I might encounter based on experiences he read/heard; to make sure I know what and what I am not covered for) regarding the cover I had taken from my soon to be new insurer. Because of his knowledgeable advice, I am scrutinizing my insurer's policy to make sure I won't get unwelcome surprises in future. I wish I could have his two-cent's worth the next time I wan't to switch policies even if I do not switch to Discovery. Yes, I felt like I was talking to someone who had grown to know me those three years, or so, whilst I was with Discovery.
