Unreasonable Clauses with Discovery Travel Insurance

Unrealistic Clauses - Discovery Travel Insurance I recently submitted an insurance claim to Discovery Travel which was rejected. I was referred to a clause which states that one has to report the theft prior to leaving the baggage area. I advised Discovery Insurance that this was not possible as I only noticed the lock had been tampered with upon arriving at my accommodation, unfortunately, they were unable to understand this and stood firm in their rejection. Purple card holder or not, the claim was not even considered. Please note that one should open and check one's bag in the arrival hall prior to leaving the airport in order to avoid such claim rejections! This act is unreasonable and ridiculous...
