Unrealistic procuresses & bad service

Good day

I put through a claim on the 16th of May with Discovery, regarding parts required for my car (motor warranty cover).

I was told that my car would need to go to an Opel dealership for up to 7 working days to wait for an assessor to come & do an inspection &

only then would a decision be made to pay the claim & fix the vehicle.

My frustration is that my car has been parked at the dealership since last Thursday awaiting an assessor.

I am therefore left without a vehicle in the interim waiting for a response, as there is no courtesy vehicle offered.

Please also note that if the claim is successful I would still need to order the parts & be without transportation for an estimate of another week.

I am really disappointed as this process is not practical, is putting me in additional expenditure & putting me at an inconvenience without a vehicle for such a long duration.

I have had previous motor warranty cover with other companies & claims were dealt with within a day or two.

I have medical aid with Discovery, my car insurance is also with Discovery & i have also taken a motor warranty cover since September last year with Discovery.

This is not the level of service expected from discovery. As of today I'm still waiting for an assessor to view my car.

Kind regards

Good day

I am still awaiting a response from Discovery & honestly now considering changing my medical aid, car cover & car warranty cover with this service. My car is now parked an the Opel shop for a week & still there is no traction with my claim. 7 working days just to assess a vehicle for the motor warranty to pay? This is just ridiculous for a company like Discovery. Absolutely inefficient!
