Unhappy with premium increase

Well here i was today (22 Aug 2018), chatting to a call centre agent at Discovery Insure querying my premium increase, bearing in mind its a year from the previous premium increase. My premium has now increase by around R208. Now here the call centre agent is waffling (if you dint know what it means Google it) about why the premium has increased, and waffling about probabilities of the risk profile. And then i ask him who determines these probabilities and he says the back office. Which i then asked to speak to the back office, to which he rep**** the back office doesnt speak to customers. And then he continues waffling about why the premium has increased, here he mentions the area i live in, weather, other events;) interesting really now what is the probability of a hail storm in one year??? But now bear in mind that my car is year older, should be insured for less, but now it costs more to repair.....really??? Now after debating with him for some time he eventually reduced the increase in my premium to only around R115, not bad, but the customer still wants more. Then i queried the increased premium on the policy of my wife, but here with his same arguments he doesnt decrease the increased amount. So now what now.....do we stay or do we go......however i still want to speak to the back office or some intelligent, accountable and responsible person who can give me more details in these probabilities of events occuring...;) so here i am asking that some compliant resolution chap or shiela doesnt call me but some manager whi can make decisions. As i am not satisfied with this whole situation.

Thank you for raising your concerns with us.

Kindly note that we have tried contacting you telephonically.

We have reviewed your policy and can confirm that we have app**** the maximum discount available to your policy. We are therefore unable to reduce your premium any further.

General price inflation and changes to the exchange rate lead to inflationary pressure on insurance costs and premiums. We also take into account your sum insured, claims history and driver performance score amongst other factors to determine your renewal premium.

Good day I have reveived your response. Have you increased the premium based on exact inflation figures or above inflation figures? Regarding the sum insured, surely products depreciate in value over a period???? So driver performance-so here i must be Driving Miss Daisy to obtain a lower premium??? And how do you assess claims history? Surely Discovery Insure did a telephonic assessment where my vehicle is parked withn a locked up garage overnight within a security controlled boomed estate. Also we have double electric fencing around our estate. And i have a ***urity PIR (Passive Infra Red) sensor in my garage which is linked to armed response, but no, here you still increase the premium, and my vehicle is worth less each year based in trade and retail value. And Discovery Insure insists that i have a tracker in my vehicle, which of course i do. Please advise what the other factors are that you take into consideration-i.e. criterion and weigts of each criterion and formulae and calculations that you based my premium on? As well as the probabilities as mentioned in my original complaint.
