Unhappy client
Discovery Insure, Listed me on the ITC. An amount of R1392, outstanding June 2016. Upon making enquiries with the Discovery Insure I was accordingly informed: they do not list people on ITC and referred me to my bank, Standard bank. Standard bank in return claims they do not list Discovery Insure clients. Whilst, being send from pillar to post, I enquired with the NCR, only to be informed such listing is not in line with the regulation. Insurance payments are paid in advance; therefore it cannot be as bad credit listing on ITC data bases. Unless Discovery Insure has written its own policy and its approved by the NCR which will never happen. During my follow ups with the Discovery Insure regarding my ITC status, I was informed that a letter will be issued and I must clear my own name from the ITC. Note: I did not do any transactional business with Discovery Insure, Yet I have been listed for an outstanding amount reflecting on my record ITC since June 2016. After numerous frustrating follow ups with Discovery Insure, a letter was issued stating “This letter serves to confirm that the above mentioned client, -------------, policy ********** 451, is no longer a policy holder at Discovery Insure. The policy was cancelled from 2016/06/14 and he does not owe Discovery Insure any money. The ITC listing on -------------- policy is incorrect and should be removed. We do not list our clients on ITC as we do not offer a credit facility.” Fair enough, Who, will be removing the bad listing from my ITC?????, Discovery Insure claims it’s my responsibility to remove that listing as they do not list people. Discovery Insure denies any wrong doing and the bank claims they do not list other companies clients. With all respect, patience, professional approach and perseverance, lets be open and honest its been reflecting bad on my ITC since June 2016 it had a negative rating on my ITC score. Who is to be blamed for this listing which I was not aware all this time. I’m a Discovery client with different Discovery products, this is definitely not client well-being. Why would you inconvenience and frustrate me, to contact the different ITC data bases, submitting letters of prove and waiting for 21 business days to my name. This action, this wrong doing can be dealt with by yourself and clear my ITC record yourself within 7 business days. You have the functionality to update your records and the ITC data base electronically without any inconvenience. In fact this wrong originate from you, Discovery Insure. Acceptance and responsibility is with you for this action, do and undo your actions, issue the letter to the relevant authorities at the different ITC data banks, and remove that listing. It reflects bad and impacts negatively on my client credit scoring. Don’t just deny your actions by issuing letters.
