Unhappy client

Was involved in an accident on the 4th March, car couldn't move towed to Good day your vehicle is at 83 Bandfield Road Industria North Roodepoort, submitted the claim on the 5th March. Been in communication with then, submitted everything that was required and all was good just have to wait for the accessment report. Didn't hear from them for about a week, on the 16th March contacted them and they said they are still waiting for the assessment report. I then decided to call where the car has been stored and was informed that it has been moved to Auction Nation and the car has been written off. I then contacted discovery again and they confirmed that Auction Nation is their yard and they are still waiting for an accessment report. On the 20th March, I received communication that my car was written off and they would like to arrange to have the car keys and the car papers to be collected with no explanation of the assessment report feedback nor the current value of the car. I then contacted them again for more clarity and got no proper explanation which resulted in me cancelling the claim and requested that I have my car back. And to my surprise I received communication that my premium has lapsed on the 26 Feb due to non payment. I then went and reversed the amount but they still debited on the 26 Mar. Why debit if policy has lapsed. I feel that discovery hasn't been helpful at all, after been their client for 2 years and never missed a premium.
