Unfair treatment, get told one thing but they do whatever they want,

I am really not happy, In December my debit order did not go through with my salary being paid in late etc. Then I get an email from Busi on the 6th of January - "I am trying to contact you with regards to your Discovery insure policy. Unfortunately you have been unavailable to take my calls Please advise as to when you are available to speak or furnish me with an alternate contact number. It is with regards to your policy Alternatively you can email me directly"

I emailed back the same day at 16h34 that she could call me at any time. After no receiving a call from her, I called discovery on the 14th of Jan, just to be told that my policy was "Cancelled" I then asked how it was possible etc. I spoke to a lady from discovery that said my policy would be re-issued and confirmed an amount that would be due as of that date,(I don't recall her name) I then found out from my broker that my policy had been cancelled, I then spoke Safiyah Fondling then had a look, she was lovely and said, no there has been a mistake. They should have reinstated me. And that she will re-run the debit order in the next 48 hours. Now I use my cheque account for debits only and use my credit card for everything else. So I put money into the account for the debit order. Then standard bank incorrectly debited my account, I then locked myself out my bank and by the time i made it to the bank to fix the problem the debit order returned. I immediately called discovery explained what had happened and asked them to re-debit or if I could just eft. the consultant told me there was nothing that could be done as it would take a further 7 days before it reflects. I then insisted to talk to the supervisor who then confirmed that he had spoken to the finance or accounts and that after the lapse they can reinstate. He was going to get back to me, as i asked for this to be confirmed in writing as I did not want my insurance to be cancelled fro is stupid mistake. And then today I get told by my broker that it has been cancelled by the risk management team. So even if you make a mistake and try and rectify it, there is no grace for your customers, even though I called, even though your supervisor confirmed it telephonically.
