Unexpected news of the waivering of excess amount

On the 19/06/2015 I had a car accident and 2hrs later I called my insurance to claim,I was assisted by Simon Farisane who was very kind,understanding and very sympathetical.He fully explained to me all the documents I need to send him to process my claim.On the 22/06/2015 I took my car for assessment at the Assessor recommended by him and then I emailed all the documents.On Tuesday 23/06/2015 he called me to check how I was doing and gave me an update about my case,saying that he has submitted all documents and is waiting for response from his seniors and make a close follow up with them,he also explained the possible procedure that will then be followed pending the outcome of the claim.Wednesday 24/06/2015 I received an email saying that my claim has been approved and I have to pay an excess amount of R2852,52 I then called discovery to check as to weather I am the one to pay or if the person who knocked my car is the one responsible for excess,they told me that I have to pay because they will claim from her insurance and reimburse me my excess amount.Friday 26/06/2015, a call from Simon:you are not liable to pay any excess amount,your car will be fixed for free.Thank yo Discovery
