****TY SERVICE - DISCOVERY INSURE

They have 1 star - not by choice - but because it is the lowest option I can choose from.

We have 2 previous claims with Discovery Insure on the policy that we are on now. The 1st one we opted a no payout and the 2nd one was paid out (although it was less than what we claimed for).

Last week Saterday (nearly 2 weeks back) my husband was pushed off the road by 3 bakkies, and at gunpoint they took everything that was in the vehicle (used for business so alot of tools and even more spares). They also took his wedding ring, cellphone, watch, empty lunch tin EVERYTHING. We thought this would be the traumatic part. But dealing with Discovery Insure is even more traumatic. After numerous emails to the consultant Stanley Mungeri, we eventually spoke for 51 minutes this afternoon.

Only to find out that the insurance is not a business policy but an individual policy. Which I don't understand because it has all the business details on there, it goes off a business bank account, everything on the 1st page screams business.

Oh wait I was supposed to know that the policy number allocated is not a business policy number. How am I as the consumer supposed to know that?? The previous claim was then paid out so if it was not a business name then how did that manage to pay out??

I have now asked to speak to someone senior, when and if I get taken off hold I can add a name, but I have been on hold for a senior person for over an hour now as well.

So Discovery I want to know what you will do to sort this out, this service has been unacceptable to say the least. We pay on time every month for our insurance, close to R4000 a month. And now the one time when we expereinced the most traumatic ordeal any person can go through and survive, now we have to go through hell and back with you.

I will not recommend Discovery Insure to any family or friends, because why should I expose them to such bad service.
