It's not every day you speak to a company's retentions department and end up not only continuing the policy, but Shafick Allow (in Discovery Insure's Retentions Department in Sandton) is so good that he is worth asking for personally if you ever need assistance.

Shafick is that rare mix of customer service agent who can listen calmly, understand the problem, not over-promise (in fact he follows the under-promise and over-deliver methodology), keep promises (he phoned me back as he said he would) and (most importantly) deliver real results and not just empty words (he addressed my primary concern and so continuing the policy was an easy decision).
