Technical systems as bad as lack in communication

I have send the below email to numerous people from Discovery Insure, but given their track record for returning emails I thought it best to make use of this forum as well.

Today it will be a week and two days since my initial emails and I still do not have access to the various systems in place for Discovery Insure, even though I am the policy holder and now also the regular driver of the vehicle. This is beside the issues we have experienced with the Smartphone-enabled DQ-Track, which is another issue altogether. I have already paid the increase in premium as a result of me being the most regular driver as opposed to my spouse who was the regular driver until end of June.

As a person of integrity, I believed that the right thing to do was to notify Discovery of the change of regular driver, so that we do not prejudice the rights of our insurance company. But since changing the regular driver to myself we have lost our Discovery Drive status and we have to re-do the Tiger Wheel and Tyre check as that was lost as well. Further to this, the system is not picking up driving scores and I cannot acces the eye-gym; online driver assessment or set personal goals as the system indicates I have no access. My intention was never to prejudice Discovery in any way, but now I am being penalised because Discovery cannot fix a seemingly simple issue.

Not only am I being penalised, but it seems as though it is not worth anybody’s while to get back to me and inform me of potential problems or solutions. And this is what is very frustrating. Whether I am not worth the attention or whether nobody knows how to fix the problem I do not know as nobody communicates with me. Of one thing I am very sure of however, and that is that nobody needs this kind of frustration from an established market leader in insurance. I need an answer from someone by close of business today, or else I will be looking to take my business elsewhere.

Please note that this is not a threat and should not be interpreted as such, as it is not my intention and I’m not that naive to think my tiny contribution matters much to Discovery. This is however an attempt to get someone’s attention and see whether the breach in trust in Discovery as a company can be restored by someone willing to do their work for which they are employed and get paid for, partially by my insignificant contribution.

I hope to hear from someone soon.
