Systemized thinking delaying service

I lost my phone and tablet on 21 May 2015. I registered a claim with Discovery. At the same time, MTN went on strike. I could not get through to an operator to get an ITC number but i managed to stop my sim card using an automated menu. Discovery asked me for the IMEI numbers, ITC reference numbers and then the SAPS case number. I obliged except for the ITC which I explained to them and, after a complaint on their site, they waived this requirement due to the circumstances. I then got a mail from Ganyane asking me for the ****** AFFIDAVIT!!! WHY!!! this is ridiculous. I will be writing the same thing I wrote in the statement that forms part of the case number!! GO AND GET THAT STATEMENT!! I dont have the time to do all of this. I have a job !!! I did not get a rational, coherent explanation for the need for an affidavit. Ganyane said they need it for blacklisting the items....THEN WHY THE HELL HAVE A CASE THAT YOU NEED TO OPEN UP!!! I could just as easily have done an affidavit at the police station whilst doing the report.

I want this claim sorted out else i will be changing insurers once the claim has been processed

Hello ganishwar,

Thank you for your message.

The items that have been ****** have not been blacklisted by the service provider. In order to enjoy cover, we need an affidavit to support this.

The case number provided only confirms that you have reported the items to be ****** to the South African Police Services.

We understand that this is a tedious process, however we require this information to process the claim.
