Stroppy adviser

I was looking to enquire about insurance for my motor vehicle and completed online an online form detailing prospective cover. Soon thereafter an "accredited adviser" called me to discuss the online quote. The "gentleman" appeared stroppy, arrogant, and almost floating in outer space. He did not have the information on his system yet and expected me to guide him through the process. At one stage it did not appear that the monthly premium details were shared with me and when I asked for the details he abruptly informed me that he had already told me, instead of just politely repeating himself. I rep**** by saying "I missed the information, I must be deaf" and he agreed with me and sarcastically said "that it (my deafness) was ok."

His overall approach to the call was abrasive, cheeky, and unprofessional. I have never encountered such a stroppy call centre agent before. He went on to tell me that he is the best in his department and that he is pursuing greater opportunities abroad, in Dubai, due to his great achievements. This was after I turned down the quote (to which he was surprised) and informed him that his work ethic was quite poor. There is more to this conversation that I found offensive and would rather share with a representative from Discovery Insure. I could never see myself "insured" by an establishment that permits such behaviour. Please train your advisers/call centre agents to treat prospective clients with dignity and respect if you wish to sign on more clients.
