STILL WAITING FOR DISCOVERY TO FIX THIER MISTAKE ...... TICK TOK ONBUDSMANS HERE I COME!

Honestly the worse most dishonest insurance company around! #discoveryinsurance

Two months ago (31 July 2018) I hit a solid block that flew off a truck. My vehicle was assessed by a company contracted out by Discover "Net Assess". The first assessment of damages to my car was in the region of R16500. After waiting a 7 working days, I finally received the approval for my car. The car was repaired and I was on my way.

On the 24th of October 2018 I took my car for a service at VW. Only for VW to phone me and inform me of about R20000 worth of damages under my car. All of the damages was to the side underneath the car that took the knock of the block I hit. I request photos from VW. I then contacted #Discovery to have the case reopened. After about a week of back and forth communication, and Discovery insisting that it was the panelbeaters assessor that assessed the car and not their own (... yes because an insurance company pays out claims on the report from an external assessor ..... yeah right Discovery!), I finally got approval to have the car reassessed because they finally agreed that the current damage on my car is a result of the incident on the 31 of July. Just to NOTE: I eventually found the email which Discovery sent me, stating who the assessor will be. Long of the short, Discovery apologised and said they had the incorrect information.

Great! So after back and forth calls, I eventually had my car assess again by 'Netassess' once again, Tuesday the 6th of November. Additional damages to my car was estimated to be in the region of R70000. Damage included; Catalitic converter, sump, right front control arms & bushes, ball joint, heatshield, silencer on exhaust, camps and repair to right-side floor panel.

Originally, the Catalitic converter was noted by the panelbeaters, but the assessor decided R31000 was too expensive so it was never replaced.

I am not at day 4 after the assessment on the Tuesday the 6th of November, still with no joy! You can phone #DiscoveryInsurance no one gets back to you. No one follows up with the assessor, completely useless. Two and half weeks after the original report of the problem on the 24th of October and I am still not closer to finality! I would never recommend #Discovery to anyone.
