Stay away from Discovery Insure
Contents cover claim and was rejected because of report from Discovery appointed assessor. Took the item to a reputable shop and confirmed if needed to be replaced and named the items, Discovery then changes the claim to open without a call or email to apologise. Discovery tried to source cheaper alternatives missing out crucial components and sending an email to confirm payout to the amount on the quote they sourced. Again their quote was missing crucial components and not the same spec as the items which needed replacing. They have no clue as to what they are doing or need to do and assessors are useless providing reports which are incorrect. The claim has been closed and was forced to settle on a technicality with my advise to you to not use Discovery. You receive calls from junior consultants taking orders from "management" who are hiding behind the scenes and to date have never sent an email about the service providers false report. No people skills or care about their clients.
What about the service provider Silvex used giving a false report compared to the accurate report by Mitabyte.
What about the fact that the power supply was a fire hazard as reported by Mitabyte compard to what Silvex, your chosen service providers response?
What about the quote Discovery obtained missing a motherboard which was clearly started on the damage report by Mitabyte?
Do not send me T&Cs when you clearly stuffed up this and doing the same on another claim of mine ***.
Discovery did not cover the petrol costs, costs to assess the computer with Mitabyte, nor my time.
Do not justify your poor service with T&C's. You do not understand or care about the customer, only about with holding payouts.
