Stay away from discovery

Absolutely distasteful, unprofessional, ********* service.

I called discovery to log a claim for my tv. And a lady by the name of nombulelo. She had logged the call and stated Samsung will come out to my home and evaluate the situation and will provide a technical report based on thr issues he finds.

Upon arrival the Samsung technician from Samsung Pretoria Michelle entered my home, looked at the tv took a picture of the model number and left.

The next day discovery rejects my claim stating its ware and tare.

My tv is 3years oid and according to Samsung every tv is issued with 100 000 viewing hours as its life span.

The technician did not open and evaluate the tv nor did he spend more then 10mins evaluating the tv.

There is no way to determine the fault of the tv of it was not accessed properly. A recommendation of fault was given on bases of what the technician "thinks" happened and not what factual has gone wrong.

Nombulelo was extremely rude stating that the technician knows what he was doing. I explained to her that it cannot be possible as the tv is only 3 years and no proper assessment was done.

I tried calling all team leaders and management asking for assistance as i was unfairly and *********ly treated and nobody wants to answer my calls. I can only imagine what will happen to anyone if you experience a more serious loss

Really discovery whats the need to study and get qualified in a field when all it takes to provide a detailed report is to look at a panal and say "ware and tare".
