Service excellence all round.

I had an unfortunate experience with my bakkie where the wheel snapped off (Bit scary that), thankfully in my driveway and not out on the freeway. I called Discovery to send me some assistance to move the vehicle out of the way of other cars and to place it into a position where the mechanic could attend to it. This was after hours so the mechanics workshop was already closed. Within about 45 minutes the tow truck had arrived on scene. I was concerned because the tow truck that was going to be sent was an 8 tonner which I was afraid could damage my driveway. I later learned that the manager of the tow truck company (Mark Seach from T-Towing *** or ***) did a Google earth search to check the access to my property. For me that shows initiative so a big shout out there Mark. Mark decided to that the 8 tonner was too big and came through with a smaller vehicle. My bakkie needed to be moved into position so that it could be hooked up to the tow truck. Mark assessed the situation and decided that if the vehicle was dragged into position which would have been the quickest and easiest for him, the driveway would have been badly damaged and so he went back to his workshop to fetch a trolley jack. what could have been a 15 minute job turned into something more like 2 hours becuse Mark wanted to make sure he did the job correctly. In the meantime the Discovery call center had called back to make sure that everything was under control. In nutshell, well done to Discovery on a very quick response time and for following up to make sure everything was being done as needed and, for choosing service providers like T-Towing. Well done to T-towing for a job well executed and for going the extra mile to ensure that the job was done in such a way that I had no complaints. All round, a very please customer. Dave Laing
