SERIOUSLY BAD ATTITUDE

I called Discovery Insure this morning and spoke to Ruth. The reason for my call was due to the fact that my bank erronously reversed my debit order. On asking Ruth to put through the debit order again, she told me that I have to phone back in 3 or 4 days. I then asked Ruth to provide me with banking details so that I could do a manual EFT payment and her answer was, and I quote "we don't have bank details". I think that this is a seriously bad attitude on the part of the staff at Discovery Insure and I am now going to look for another insurance company to handle my business as Discovery obviously don't need their clients and encourage their staff to have bad attitudes.

Thank you for your comment.
We apologise that you find the response from our servicing team unpalatable. The reality is that at this stage, we are unable to resend the bill/ debit order to your bank as they have not confirm the success or not of the initial debit order. Whilst you have real time feedback on activities on your bank account, it is regrettably the contrary with us.
A forced debit may be processed in 3 to 4 days or you may wait for the 15 days of grace which is afforded to all Planholders with Discovery Insure where the initial debit is unsuccessful. Which is the reason we are unable to accept payments directly, as we must give all Planholders second opportunity to pay premium within 15 days of the agreed debit date being unsuccessful.
We trust the above proved clarity and apologise for any frustrations experienced.
