Rewards system disaster - no points for 13 months
I have done my annual multipoint check for my insured vehicle in August 2021. Normally, the Tiger Wheel and Tyre dealership provides proof to Discovery Insure and points are allocated for the 12 month period (150 points, including "Service history up to date"). I drive well, and I noticed that my cash back amount was quite low for a couple of months, even though my mileage driven etc. has not really reduced. In February 2022, I decided to check my points dashboard, only to find that the points for my multipoint check were not allocated. Upon further investigation, I noticed that the points for the online driver assessment (50 points) and online driving course (150 points) were also not allocated. I immediately logged a query via email, and I also followed up with numerous calls to the contact center. I was requested to call the Tiger Wheel and Tyre and arrange for them to resend the results of my multipoint check. I was also requested to redo the online driver assessment and online driving course, and to provide screenshots of the results. I have done as requested.
I followed up on the above on a monthly basis, explaining the whole situation to a different contact center agent every time, only to hear that it has been escalated. By now, if the query had really been escalated, the CEO should be aware of this ... We are now at the end of September 2022 and the query is still not resolved. No one seems to be able to sort out my points. During my most recent call to customer services, I was promised that a supervisor would call me to explain the plan of action ... I am still waiting for that call.
I have been due for my 2022 annual multipoint check, but have not been, since the 2021 inspection has not even been finalized.
I need this to be resolved. 350 points not allocated for over a year has led to a reduced Vitality Drive points over 12 months already, meaning reduced rewards for driving well.
I love the loyalty program and the rewards to customers, but unfortunately I am driving well just for the sake of it, I am not seeing any of the perceived benefits.
Please Discovery Insure - make a priority of this now.
