Relook at the meaning of "goods in transit"

How can a theft claim be rejected due to "goods in transit". How can you guys assume that my items were ****** while in transit. My items were ****** from my risk address! When I got to my new address I could not find them. Hence they were ****** from my risk address, not while in transit. Nowhere in my statement did I say that they were in or on any vehicle and when I got to my new address I couldn't find them. I'd like to have this claim relooked at. Don't reject my claim on assumption!!
