Rediculous Service and getting fed up

Goodday

First of all. let me start by saying how disappointed i am with Discovery Insure.

Last year, a car that was on my insurance was in an accident, then discovery said that the excess will be waived once they receive the SAPS report. SAPS report was sent, and then they came with the excuse that the other party that was involved in the accident is only a student, and doesnt have in income. So in other words, the other party can mess up and make accidents, and do not care because he is a student and doesnt have income. And the excess wasn't waived.

On 29 January 2016 I received an e-mail with a new schedule, saying that my premium is going up because its the anniversary month of my insurance. Sorry to disappoint you Discovery, the anniversary is only in March. And then you give me 3 days time to look for money which i dont have because u put the premium up 3 days before the debit order.

This morning I get another e-mail saying I must please make an appointment to remove my DQ tracking. What the hell is up with that? Why am I paying for a service that must all of a sudden be removed?

I am seriously considering looking at other Insurance companies to handle my needs

Hello Jondo1,

Thank you for bringing your concerns to our attention, which we have addressed below.

DQ-Track de-installation notification, we confirm our discussion with your broker where we have apologized for the error and assured it has been resolved.

On the issue of the policy anniversary notification received on 29 January 2016. We clarify that it is procedure to provide policyholders with 30 days notice which has been the case in point and your policy anniversary is indeed only on 01/03/2016.

On the matter of the excess waiver, we reiterate that the excess will be waived as noted in the Plan Guide's sub-section 7.3.9 . Which notes that the 3rd party must be insured, confirmation of legal liability must be in writing from the other party and that terms with regards to the DQ Track must be adhered to.

Regards,
Sekgobola
