Quick rescue from a breakdown

This is a courtesy review since they specifically asked me (twice) to write it. My car broke down en route from Cape Town to Joburg. We found ourselves stranded on the side of the N1 about 80km from Bloemfontein. I dealt with GRIFFITH CHETTY FOR PLAN *****10459. He was lovely, efficient and helpful and we had a tow truck rescue within about two hours (maybe a bit less) and he also helped with arranging a rental car to get us home. I do find the policy a bit strange, that because it was a mechanical failure and not an accident we only qualify for a three day car rental (two days of which was over a weekend) and have to pay a penalty since we are not returning the car in Bloemfontein where we picked it up to drive to Joburg. Our broken car remains in Bloemfontein. I was told that towing it to Joburg would have been excessively expensive for us so we will have to go back to fetch it at some point. Anyway, fine print. I did appreciate their quick rescue from the side of the road with trucks thundering by, which was quite scary.
