Prompt response by Discovery Insure and Optimum Assist

I had a claim with Discovery for accidental damage to my car worth R46000. The damage occurred during level 5 lockdown. As I am a registered nurse, I am required to be at work 6 days a week. Discovery has been amazing. They towed my car twice, once to Tiger Wheel and Tyre in Sandton and once to the VW dealership in Melrose. Lunga from Optimum Assist was responsible for towing my car without me (as I had to stay at work) but he took the best care of car and sent me updates and details constantly. Discovery sent out an assessor as soon as they were able to, the damage was assessed and the amount was paid into my account to sort it out. Now I am just waiting for parts for the car to be repaired. I have been very impressed by the level of professionalism and also the turnaround time of this claim. A special mention must be made to Paulus Furstenbuerg and Tovhowani Mufamadi at Discovery, who were very kind and helpful. Being an essential worker means that I needed this issue sorted out quickly and Discovery has made every effort to ensure that happens.
