Preventing me from seeking alternative cover
I've been given 30 days notice period for my policy cancellation however that period falls over the time before I have my car back from repairs, which they have authorized. The clause on it's own is to allow a customer enough time to seek alternative insurance, but how can I do that if other companies can't view my car, seeing that it's still damaged and will later be in repairs?
They have the right to cancel the policy at any time, however that right can't seek to overwrite the consumer act, which requires both parties to have enough time to seek solutions, in my case to find alternative cover.
They would never cover a car without first inspecting it, so why do they think another company would? They are also aware that if during inspection they find that the car has previous damages then the car will either not be covered or my premiums will be supper high.
They are holding my car hostage and now they will leave me stuck with an uninsurable car, since there are visible damages to the car. This on its own is their attempt to trample on my consumer rights.
Discovery, may we please part ways on a nice note. Fix my car then let the notice be served out. That way other insurance companies and I will have full access to the car, instead of it being in this uninsurable state, then later stuck in one of your service provider's workshop.
Do the right thing.
I keep getting communication from your company regarding the removal of the DQ tracker, this tells me that my complaint has not been attended to. Please provide me with urgent feedback so I know what my next move should be.
