POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM DISCOVERY INSURE , NOT RECOMMENDED AT ALL,

I would not recommend discovery insure to any family or friend, we had an accident on the 26 February and the vehicle was towed to an assessment area 100km away from the incident, two weeks following they were still awaiting the accessor to assess the vehicle before releasing the vehicle for repairs, after calling various times at 12min waiting at a time I was transferred to the specialized claims department, no help there as they could not locate the were abouts of the vehicle which is shocking,

i was then advised to contact the assessor directly for clarity which is a 3rd party to discovery so I could locate the vehicle for collection my self, the assessor had advised me that the delay was with discovery as they had not paid the storage fees so the vehicle could not be released, after various calls and complaints / escalations the vehicle was taken to a local dealer back 100km to were the accident was for an assessment,

we were issued a manual vehicle and were advised that should we require a manual we would need to pay in as discovery does not cover these requests, we proceeded to pay at our own cost

after various complaints regarding the duration of the hired vehicle as the delay was with discovery they advised they would reimburse us for the additional cost on the hired vehicle, 3 weeks later we have had our vehicle towed to a authorized dealer for repairs and the key is not working, the car will not start and parts are missing,

again we having to contact discovery to resolve the issue as the dealer will not start on the vehicle and take responsibility for the additional damages

the answer we keep getting is they will request clarity form the dealer and revert back to us,

the specialized management team were quick to respond negatively on the request for a vehicle of the same class (4x4) that this will not be covered even though the inconvenience caused is to us the client by discovery,

even with a broker we are still awaiting some one who has clear visibly on our claim from discovery
