Poor and demeaning service from discovery insurance 347

Please be careful when dealing with discovery insurance. my car was bumped from behind by one of its customers on 01 March 2024 and I had to claim from discovery, as it's client is liable for the damages and not from my insurance so that my premium doesn't increase. I submitted all the necessary documents on 19 March 2024, after running around. I had to source for 2 quotes and I was never involved in an accident before, but I could tell that the 1st quote was too low.I got a referral from my dealership and found the 2nd quote, which appreared reasonable. I had to call discovery insure today to find out why my claim had not been processed, as the 7 to 10 day period had lapsed after the claim submission. After 2 hours, I got a settlement offer for the low quote and when I called to complain that the 2nd quote is not even from an approved repairer and does not cover all the damages caused on my car, Nonhlanhla from the discovery legal department said it was all my fault as I had to ensure that the sourced quotation covered everything. I have no experience or knowledge about the costs of repairing cars and guys be careful out there. The 3rd car repairer refused to provide me with a quotation after hearing that i was seeking a 3rd party quote to be submitted to discovery. Discovery Insurance calls me every month, to join them and I always decline. I only used them during the pendamic and found a reasonable premium elsewhere. I now have to claim from my own insurance, and it will have to recover from the discovery insurance by following a legal route. Discovery will not even review the settlement offer after rejecting its offer. You will not even be given a chance to speak to a manager or be provided with the complaints department contact details or procedure.
