Pitiful service from such a well known company.
Reason for the poor rating on Discovery is because they assigned Natasha to my claim who was out of office for two weeks.
I took my car for assessment on the 25th of November. I didn't get any feedback from Discovery, so on the 28th of November I sent an email to Natasha only to get an out of office reply with Dann's email. I sent an email to Dann and got a phone call later the day, saying that everything looks in order and that I should expect a call from Dals. So I waited until the 3rd of December for a response. I emailed Natasha again hoping she would be back in office, to no avail. So I emailed Dann again hoping he can help me out, also no response. So on the 4th of December I emailed Dals late in the day and got a response early the following day saying that Discovery has not send the authorization to them yet, and they will follow up again to get the authorization. So as I am writing this, it is the 6th of December, Dals contacted me this morning and told me I can bring the car in on the 17th because they need to wait for the parts that they have ordered. They could only order the parts after getting authorization from Discovery.
If the confirmation was sent the 28th Dals would have been able to get my parts there in time, but because confirmation was only sent 9 business days after the claim, my car will most likely only be done in the new year.
I feel let down because I have always sang Discovery's praises for Medical Aid, apparently their Discovery Insure still has a few things to learn from their medical aid department.
I got an email from Natasja Badenhorst, saying how sorry she is for the bad service I received, and how Discovery values their customers. She then proceeds to add insult to injury by not fami****izing herself with the claim and goes on to assume it was for a female, and that I asked for car hire, by offering 6 extra days to remedy the situation. I am the owner and person who made the claim and I'm am surely not a female. I also did not request a courtesy vehicle.
Again Discovery seems to not give a damn.
