Not happy with Claims service at Discovery Insure

We recently had a power surge from lightening strike and the control in both the fridge and freezer was knocked out. We submitted a claim and it was refused as they said it was due to wear and tear. We have tried for long time now to get this overturned and get someone to speak to us about this and had no joy. We have done all the necessary paperwork in order to dispute this claim - no joy. Any ideas anyone?
